The agreement between the Humane Society of the United States and United Egg Producers calls for a national law in 2029 would essentially double the size of the space in a cage designed for the United States' 285 million chickens hens.

For California farmers, who must comply with a voter approved initiative, the federal bill would provide greater certainty about the size of cage systems needed by 2015, donors said.

However, the pact Thursday also includes a risk to egg producers in the state.If Congress fails to pass a law in California egg farmers could once again be forced to turn to the courts to decide the size of cages exactly what would be allowed under Proposition 2, which was approved by voters in 2008.

I used my Big Shot and the Bird with Wing die by Sizzix. I used chipboard to create the album. This I used Basic Grey papers I had to cover the album.
